Orders & quotes

How do I place an order on the La Fabriculture website?

You can order directly online: add your products to the basket, create an account or log in, enter your delivery address, choose your shipping method and payment method, then confirm. You can also download our order form from the Order page and send it back to us by email. For specific needs (large quantities, custom-made tools), contact us directly for a personalised quote.

Are your tools in stock? What is the manufacturing lead time?

Our tools are normally in stock. When a product is out of stock, its manufacturing lead time is shown on its product page. If you have a deadline, just let us know and we will do our best to meet it.

Can I order a large quantity or a custom-made tool?

Yes. Contact us with your requirements (quantities, dimensions, specific use) for a tailored quote. For custom-made tools and large orders, a 40% deposit is generally required when ordering, with the balance paid before shipping.

How long is my quote valid?

A quote issued by La Fabriculture is valid for 30 calendar days from its date of issue. After that, please ask us for an update (prices, lead times).

Can I cancel or change my order after confirming it?

Contact us as soon as possible, before your parcel is shipped or production starts: we will do our best to change your order. For a custom-made or large order for which a deposit has been paid, cancellation at your request means the deposit is forfeited.

Delivery & shipping

Which carriers do you use?

Depending on the destination and weight of your parcel, we ship with DPD, Geodis, DB Schenker or DHL, Monday to Friday, from our workshop in Moyrazès (12160, France).

How long does delivery in France take once my order has shipped?

Delivery generally takes 24 to 48 hours after shipping for mainland France. If the product is out of stock, this comes on top of the manufacturing lead time shown on its product page. A tracking link is emailed to you as soon as the carrier collects your parcel.

Is delivery free?

Delivery is free in mainland France for orders of €360 or more (VAT included). Below this amount, shipping costs are calculated according to the weight and volume of your order and displayed before payment.

Do you deliver to the French overseas territories (DROM-COM) or internationally?

We deliver to mainland France, the European Union and a selection of other destinations, with shipping costs calculated automatically for EU countries. Online orders to the French overseas departments and territories (DROM-COM) cannot be fulfilled as placed: they are cancelled and refunded for logistical reasons. Contact us directly and we will look into shipping on a quote basis. For shipping outside the EU, see the “Professionals & international” section below.

How can I track my parcel?

As soon as the carrier collects your parcel, you receive an email with a tracking link (DPD, Geodis...). You can also contact us at any time for an update on your shipment.

My parcel is late, damaged or incomplete: what should I do?

On delivery, check the condition of your parcel in the presence of the carrier. If anything is wrong, note the problem clearly and precisely (reservations) on the carrier's delivery note, then let us know as soon as possible, ideally within 3 working days, so that we can take the matter up with the carrier.

Please also contact our after-sales service at sav@lafabriculture.fr with your order number and a photo of the damage or missing item. If your parcel is late, write to the same address. We will then take the matter up with the carrier and get back to you with a solution.

Payment & invoicing

Which payment methods do you accept?

We accept bank cards (Visa, Mastercard), Apple Pay and bank transfer. Card payments are secured with the 3D Secure protocol. For a bank transfer, our bank details are sent to you with your order or quote.

Do I have to pay for my whole order in advance?

For a standard tool ordered on the website, yes: full payment is made when ordering. For a custom-made tool or a large order, a 40% deposit is required when ordering, with the balance paid before shipping.

I am a business in the European Union: can I be invoiced without VAT?

Yes, provided you give us a valid intra-community VAT number when ordering. The exemption applies in accordance with current regulations.

Returns & withdrawal

Can I withdraw from my order after placing it?

Yes, you have 14 days from receipt of your order to exercise your right of withdrawal, without giving any reason. Let us know your decision by email at contact@lafabriculture.fr or using the form in our terms and conditions of sale, then return the complete tool within 14 days in suitable packaging. This right does not apply to custom-made or personalised items.

Who pays for return shipping?

Return shipping costs are your responsibility. We recommend packing the parcel carefully and keeping proof of shipment until our team confirms it has arrived safely.

How long does a refund take after a return?

We refund you no later than 14 days after being informed of your withdrawal, including the initial delivery costs (based on standard delivery). The refund may be withheld until we receive the product or proof that it has been sent back.

What if the tool has already been assembled or used?

If the tool has been handled beyond what is necessary to check its nature, characteristics and functioning, the loss of value may be deducted from the refund. It is assessed case by case: as a guide, 10% of the price and €20 of refurbishment costs for a tool that has been assembled or used.

Warranty & after-sales

What warranty covers my La Fabriculture tools?

Welds on tools made by La Fabriculture are guaranteed for life, except for certain products flagged on their product page, notably the long Odinettes and the Arboriste. This warranty covers appropriate use of the tool and excludes normal wear and tear, lack of maintenance, misuse, and any work carried out by you or a third party. It comes in addition to the statutory guarantees: the 2-year legal guarantee of conformity from delivery for consumers, and the guarantee against hidden defects.

The handle of my tool has broken: is it covered by the warranty?

It depends on the type of break. A break across the handle is generally due to a defect in the wood and is covered by the warranty. A break along the length (split) is most often due to inappropriate use and is not covered. Send a photo of the break to sav@lafabriculture.fr and we will reply after examining it.

How do I make a warranty claim or request a repair?

Write to our after-sales service at sav@lafabriculture.fr, giving your order number and attaching a photo of the problem. Warranty repairs are carried out in our workshop in Moyrazès.

Do you sell spare parts (handles, wear parts...)?

Yes, subject to stock availability. For products we buy from other manufacturers, or for parts we do not make ourselves, availability depends on our suppliers. Feel free to contact us at sav@lafabriculture.fr with your tool's reference to check whether the spare part is available.

Tool care

How do I care for a steel tool to prevent rust?

Clean it regularly with soapy water and a damp cloth, then dry it thoroughly. After use in wet conditions, apply a thin coat of protective oil. For light rust, rub with steel wool or diluted white vinegar.

How do I care for a stainless steel or galvanised tool?

For stainless steel, washing with hot soapy water and a non-abrasive sponge is enough for everyday cleaning; a mixture of water and white vinegar removes stains, and a little olive oil restores the shine. For galvanised metal, clean with lukewarm soapy water and a soft cloth, avoiding acidic products, and store in a dry place if it will not be used for a long time.

Where can I find the full care guide for each material?

You will find detailed advice for each material (steel, stainless steel, galvanised metal, copper and brass, sharpening stones) on our Maintenance page.

Professionals & international

Do you deliver outside the European Union?

Yes, some shipments outside the EU are possible under the DAP incoterm (Delivered At Place): we handle transport to the destination, while customs duties and local taxes are paid by the recipient. Import formalities must be arranged in advance by the recipient. Contact us to discuss your shipment.

Do you offer special terms for professionals or resellers?

Yes. Contact us with your project (quantities, type of partnership, resale) and we will work out a quote and terms suited to your business.
