The Odinette® Arborist-Nursery is a long-tine grelinette with 46 cm tines, developed specifically for professionals who work at depth in the soil: arborists, nursery growers, winegrowers. It effectively decompacts the soil around root systems to facilitate the uprooting of young plants or well-established specimens, and aerates at depth around vine stocks, without turning the soil over. Available in 4 or 6 tines, with custom configurations from 3 to 8 tines.

The Odinette® Arborist-Nursery is a professional long-tine grelinette with 46 cm tines, designed for trades that require deep soil work: arborists, nursery growers, winegrowers, and growers working with deep-rooting plants. It effectively decompacts the soil around root systems to facilitate the uprooting of young plants as well as older, well-established specimens, and allows work at the base of vine stocks without turning the soil or severing roots.
Handcrafted in Moyrazès, Aveyron, by La Fabriculture, it is available as standard in 4 tines (easier to handle, ideal for confined spaces such as vine rows) and 6 tines (wider working width, suited to serial uprooting in nurseries). Custom configurations from 3 to 6 tines are available on request; 7- and 8-tine versions are feasible but require considerably more physical effort in compacted soil. Due to the high mechanical stresses placed on this tool, the welds are covered by the standard two-year warranty.
✅ 46 cm tines for deep work beyond the reach of standard grelinettes;
✅ Effective decompaction around root systems without severing roots or turning the soil;
✅ The 4-tine version is highly manoeuvrable for working between vine rows or in confined spaces;

The 4-tine version is lighter to handle and requires less effort per pass: it is particularly suited to winegrowers working in the confined space of a vine row, or for occasional uprooting requiring precision. The 6-tine version covers a wider area per pass, which significantly increases productivity in nurseries or for serial uprooting along long rows.
Yes, custom configurations are available on quote. The 3- and 5-tine versions address specific space or working-width requirements. The 7- and 8-tine versions are feasible, but the effort required to drive them 46 cm into compacted soil can be very high; they are not recommended for intensive daily use.
The Odinette® Arborist-Nursery is specifically designed for compacted, clay, or heavy soils that require deep-level work. In very stony soils or those with surface rock, a prior inspection of the subsoil is recommended to protect the tines during penetration.
The welds on the Odinette® Arborist-Nursery are covered by the standard two-year warranty. This is worth noting: the mechanical stresses generated by deep decompaction or uprooting well-rooted specimens are significantly higher than those in standard kitchen garden or market gardening use.
Both tools share the same tine length (46 cm), but the Odinette® Arborist-Nursery is designed for professional use under high-stress conditions: uprooting established shrubs, deep work in dense soils, and intensive use in vineyards or nurseries. Its construction takes these greater mechanical demands into account, which is why the weld warranty is specifically mentioned.
