A well-maintained Felco tool cuts cleanly for years. Left unsharpened, even the finest blade will dull. The Felco 903 is the professional answer to that problem.
Its hardened steel surface with diamond coating offers exceptional wear resistance, ensuring long service life even with intensive daily use. It is engineered for three operations in one: sharpening the cutting edge, deburring the micro-serrations created by wear, and hardening the blade surface after sharpening. At just 50 g and 100 mm long (3.4 mm thick), it slips into a pocket, pouch or holster and is always at hand in the field.
Light pressure is all it takes: the stone restores a razor-sharp edge to blades you thought were worn out. Compatible with pruning shears, loppers and cable cutters across the entire Felco range, it is especially popular among professionals — vintners, arborists, landscape gardeners — who sharpen their tools several times a week.

FAQ
Is the Felco 903 compatible with all Felco pruning shears?
Yes, the Felco 903 is compatible with the full Felco range: pruning shears (Felco 2, 6, 8, 11, etc.), loppers and cable cutters. It is designed to sharpen any professional-grade steel blade.
What is the difference between the Felco 903 and a standard oil stone?
The Felco 903 has a diamond coating that gives it far greater wear resistance than a conventional corundum or ceramic stone. It is used dry or with water (no oil), and combines sharpening, deburring and surface hardening in a single tool.
How often should pruning shears be sharpened?
For intensive professional use (viticulture, arboriculture), sharpening after each working day is recommended. For home use, sharpening every 2 to 4 sessions is generally sufficient.
How do I use the Felco 903 without damaging the blade?
Hold the stone at the angle of the existing bevel (approx. 20–25°), apply light, consistent pressure along the full blade length. Never sharpen against the cutting direction. Finish by drawing the stone flat across the flat face of the blade to remove the wire edge.
