The Rinaldi 307-5 is a Trento-pattern axe with a wide, rounded edge typical of Italian and French forestry traditions. In its 1300 g version, it makes an outstanding axe for felling, cross-cutting and above all limbing. Its thick, heavy head delivers superior splitting power and excellent strike inertia, while remaining compact despite its broad edge. The 88 cm handle strikes a fine balance between power and manoeuvrability, allowing you to work a full day without excessive fatigue. It also works as a finishing axe for hewing beams in traditional timber framing. Forged in Italy using centuries-old craftsmanship, it stands out for its exceptionally hard, heat-treated steel (58 HRC).
Please note: this is a hand-forged tool and may show minor surface irregularities. This does not affect performance — it makes each piece unique. Our axes are sold as-forged and may carry a wire edge. We strongly recommend honing the edge before first use, even though the axe is already quite sharp.
