Long pruning sessions take their toll on your hands. Repeated friction, constant contact with the tool handle, tough vegetation: the Felco 702 gloves are built to handle all of that, all day long, without compromising precision.
The palm and fingers are made of reinforced cowhide leather with PVC elements for firm grip on tool handles, even with wet or slightly greasy hands. The back of the glove, in breathable stretch Spandex, conforms to the shape of the hand and prevents any constricting feeling after hours of wear. Together, these materials strike the balance between effective protection and freedom of movement — the two non-negotiables when working with a pruning shear at full precision.
These gloves are particularly popular with viticulturists, arborists and landscapers who prune for several consecutive hours. They meet EN388: 2.1.2.1.X and ANSI CUT A3 resistance standards. Available in four sizes (S, M, L, XL), they tend to run slightly small: when in doubt between two sizes, sizing up is recommended.

FAQ
What is the difference between the Felco 701, 702 and 703 gloves?
The Felco 701 is the entry-level model: light, supple leather for basic protection and light-duty work. The Felco 702 steps up with reinforced cowhide, PVC grip elements and a Spandex back — the best protection/comfort balance for daily intensive pruning. The Felco 703 is the premium model: superior reinforced leather, suitable for all seasons and cooler weather. In short: 701 for light use, 702 for professional intensive pruning, 703 for maximum comfort in all conditions.
How do I choose the right size for Felco 702 gloves?
Felco 702 gloves tend to run slightly small. When in doubt between two sizes, sizing up is recommended. For wide hands or long fingers, always go one size above your usual size. The S, M, L and XL range covers the great majority of hand shapes.
Can I use pruning shears normally while wearing Felco 702 gloves?
Yes — that is exactly what they are designed for. The Spandex back conforms to the hand and the PVC palm elements provide a firm grip on the handle without reducing sensitivity. Most professionals use them with Felco shears (Felco 2, 6, 7, 8) without any loss of precision.
Do the Felco 702 gloves protect against blade cuts?
They provide certified resistance to light cuts (ANSI CUT A3, EN388 level 1 cut resistance), protecting against accidental contact with a pruning shear blade. They are not high-level cut-resistant gloves (level 5 or D/E) — for work with very sharp blades or saws, a higher protection level is recommended.
