Bigboy 360-10 pruning saw

Like all Japanese saws, this saw must be pulled towards you while ensuring that the blade is never blocked when pushing it forward to avoid damaging it. If the blade gets stuck, lift the saw to unblock it, then resume cutting.

As with any saw, let it do its job and do not force it. This way, it requires less effort and increases the tool's lifespan. Additionally, the position of your hand on the handle influences the cut. When holding the handle close to the blade, you exert low pressure and can cut small amounts of wood, allowing for more precise tasks. However, if you use the saw with your hand far from the blade, you will cut more quickly but with less precision.

The Bigboy with a straight blade (360 mm) is available in 3 different tooth sizes:

Large (7 teeth per 30 mm)

Medium (10 teeth per 30 mm)

Fine (13 teeth per 30 mm)

The blade must remain clean to maintain its effectiveness. Resin dissolves with olive oil, a natural way to maintain the blade.

When using the saw, make sure it is completely dry before folding it. Put the sheath back on the blade and store the saw in a place protected from moisture.

Remember to frequently check that the blade screws are always securely tightened.
