What sets the Felco 455 apart from an ordinary pair of scissors is the non-stick coating on the blades. Made from high-quality stainless steel, the blades are treated to repel plant sap, glue and sticky residues — the number one problem with untreated scissors that gradually stick, drag and tear instead of cutting cleanly.
The result: the blade glides through stems, twine, wrapping material or adhesive tape without catching, and wipes clean with a simple cloth. Whether you are cutting herbs in the kitchen, preparing a bouquet without sap fouling the blade, snipping plant ties or seed packets, or tackling craft and decoration work, the Felco 455 is the tool you reach for everywhere.
The wide, ergonomic polymer PVC handles are designed for right-handed users and larger hands. Their open form makes prolonged use comfortable without fatigue.
At 225 mm and just 110 g, the Felco 455 is light, precise and comfortable to hold — the Felco signature applied to an everyday tool.

FAQ
What is the real difference between the Felco 455's non-stick coating and ordinary stainless scissors?
Untreated stainless scissors accumulate sticky sap, resin and adhesive residue on the blades after just a few uses. The Felco 455's non-stick coating creates a hydrophobic surface that prevents these residues from bonding: the blade glides, doesn't stick, and wipes clean with a single pass of a cloth. For repetitive work — preparing bouquets, harvesting herbs, tying in plants — this is a significant saving of time and effort.
Can the Felco 455 cut cardboard, wrapping paper or adhesive tape?
Yes — and this is one of their strengths. The non-stick coating prevents adhesive film and tape from bonding to the blades, which is the main problem with ordinary scissors on these materials. They cut cleanly through light cardboard, paper, twine, ribbon and fabric.
Are the Felco 455 scissors suitable for left-handed users?
No. The PVC handles are designed for right-handed users. Left-handed users should look for ambidextrous or left-handed scissors.
How do you sharpen the Felco 455 blades if they become dull?
The stainless blades can be resharpened using a fine stone or ceramic rod on the inner bevel of each blade. The non-stick coating is on the blade surface, not on the cutting edge itself, so careful sharpening does not damage it. If in doubt, contact La Fabriculture.
