La Campagnole® Gardener with fixed counter-teeth is designed for family vegetable gardens, community allotments and small plots up to 300 m², and for heavy, clay or compacted soils: 50 cm wide, fixed counter-teeth that fracture even the most resistant clay clods, and rigid Ø 20 cm wheels that allow the tool to be moved without effort.

✅ Fixed counter-teeth — suited to heavy, clay soils ;

✅ Rigid Ø 20 cm wheels — effortless movement, back protected ;

✅ No engine — complete silence, no fuel, no emissions, zero mechanical maintenance ;

✅ Does not invert the soil — structure preserved, soil life undisturbed ;

✅ Up to 300 m² — family vegetable gardens, community allotments, small plots ;

✅ Lifetime weld guarantee — free repairs for life ;

✅ Made in Aveyron — artisanal and professional quality.

HOW TO USE

  • Work preferably after rain or on slightly moist soil ;
  • Position La Campagnole at the start of a row, wheels on the ground, tines facing the soil ;
  • Push forward to drive all 5 tines to full depth ;
  • Pull back: the fixed counter-teeth fracture clods and bring stones and roots to the surface ;
  • Advance 5 to 15 cm depending on the desired finish and repeat ;
  • For very compacted soils, a first shallow pass prepares a deeper second pass ;
  • Use in preparation of seedbeds or planting areas.

MAINTENANCE

  • Rinse tines, counter-teeth and frame with clean water after each use, or brush the fork with a suitable wire brush ;
  • Allow to dry before storing to prevent corrosion ;
  • Protect the wooden handle with linseed oil once or twice a year ;
  • Grease the wheel axles with vegetable oil.

FAQ

What is the difference between the Gardener 50 cm and the Maraîcher 80 cm?

The Gardener (50 cm) is more manoeuvrable, lighter and designed for family gardens and small plots up to 300 m². The Maraîcher (80 cm) is wider, fitted with pneumatic Ø 26 cm wheels and suited to large professional plots. For home or community use, the Gardener is the right choice.

Why choose fixed counter-teeth rather than springs on the Gardener?

Fixed counter-teeth are recommended for heavy, clay soils: their rigidity fractures compact clods more effectively. If your soil is light, sandy or stony, the spring counter-tooth version is preferable — the springs eject stones and roots without jamming.

Can La Campagnole® replace a rotary tiller?

Yes, for plots up to 300 m². It aerates the soil to 24 cm depth, breaks up clods and extracts stones and roots — silently, without fuel, without engine maintenance. It also preserves soil life that motorised blades can destroy.
